Mouse Sex Hormone Binding Globulin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for SHBG pre-coated onto the wells of a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added so that SHBG present in each sample binds to the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SHBG Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of SHBG captured, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The working range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <12.6 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader. Spiked recovery is 80%-102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81%-100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma. Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each sample type. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
