Mouse Serum Amyloid A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Serum Amyloid A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with antibody specific for Serum Amyloid A immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells; captured analyte is bound by a biotinylated anti-Serum Amyloid A antibody and then detected using an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported product range is 1.56-100 ng/ml and sensitivity is 0.63 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery values are: Serum (n=5) 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% (average 90%), Heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% (average 84%). Linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
