Mouse Serine Palmitoyltransferase, Long Chain Base Subunit 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse SPTLC1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for SPTLC1 has been immobilised. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-SPTLC1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of SPTLC1 captured in each well. The concentration of SPTLC1 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.055 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only.
