Mouse Secretogranin II ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Chromogranin C/SGII (also referred to as Secretogranin II) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and is completed in approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. An antibody specific for Chromogranin C/SGII is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added and the target is captured, then detected with a biotinylated anti-Chromogranin C/SGII antibody. An HRP–avidin conjugate is added next, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a colour change whose intensity is proportional to the amount of analyte present in each well.

The stated assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5) and heparin plasma (n=5) yielded average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84%, across ranges of 80–102%, 81–100% and 80–89% respectively. Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the assay must not be used past its stated expiration date.
