Mouse Secretagogin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse SCGN/Secretagogin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) format with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The workflow employs an antibody specific for SCGN/Secretagogin pre-coated onto the plate, a biotinylated anti-SCGN/Secretagogin detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate with an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to analyte concentration. The standard assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance characteristics include an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <31 pg/ml. Sample recovery was assessed across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Undiluted serum (n=5) gave 80-102% recovery with a 91% average; EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 81-100% with a 90% average; heparin plasma (n=5) gave 80-89% with an 84% average. Across dilutions, serum recoveries ranged 74-107%, EDTA plasma 79-108%, and heparin plasma 82-105%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
