Mouse Retinoid X Receptor Alpha ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Retinoid X Receptor alpha (RXRA) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with an antibody specific for Retinoid X Receptor alpha/RXRA immobilised on the plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Retinoid X Receptor alpha/RXRA Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The concentration of Retinoid X Receptor alpha/RXRA is calculated by reading the optical density at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.067 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
