Mouse Reticulocalbin 2 ELISA Kit

Offered by Antibodies.com within their Assays and Kits range, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Reticulocalbin 2 (RCN2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with mouse samples.

An antibody specific for RCN2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and the RCN2 present is bound by the immobilised antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-RCN2 Antibody binds the captured RCN2, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity is proportional to the amount of RCN2 captured in each well. Concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader, uses a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate platform, and has an assay time of 4h 30m.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml. Recovery in serum samples ranged from 80-102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 81-100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 80-89% (average 84%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
