Mouse Resistin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Resistin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate with a capture antibody specific for Resistin, followed by a biotinylated anti-Resistin detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and Resistin concentrations are calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Stated performance characteristics include a measuring range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.114 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery results were 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma.

Reagents supplied include a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilized standard, detection solution A, detection solution B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
