Mouse Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 4 (REG4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) format with a colorimetric detection read at 450 nm, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for REG4 is pre-coated onto the microplate; standards and test samples are added and any REG4 present is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-REG4 Antibody is added and binds the captured analyte. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then introduced, followed by TMB substrate solution which produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of REG4 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm against the standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is 20.7 pg/ml, with an assay range of 46.8-3000 pg/ml. Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol; the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The assay is specific for the mouse target, with reactivity confirmed for mouse samples.
