Mouse Reelin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Reelin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, pre-coated with an antibody specific for Reelin. Standards and samples are added to the wells; bound Reelin is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Reelin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader to calculate concentration from the standard curve.

Sensitivity is <6.5 pg/ml and the assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, with colorimetric detection. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.

Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–99%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three sample types, with reported values across all conditions falling between 74% and 108%.
