Mouse Protocadherin 15 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Protocadherin 15 (PCDH15) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm in a standard microplate reader. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.076 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. In validation studies (n=5), spike-and-recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 83–100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 90–98%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 89–102%). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each sample matrix.

The assay uses a sandwich immunoassay format: an immobilised anti-PCDH15 antibody captures analyte from standards and samples, a biotinylated anti-PCDH15 detection antibody binds the captured target, and an HRP–avidin conjugate catalyses TMB substrate to produce a measurable yellow product whose intensity is read against a standard curve. Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated in the manufacturer's instructions.
