Mouse Proopiomelanocortin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Proopiomelanocortin (POMC) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for POMC, and captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-POMC antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose absorbance is read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.045 ng/ml, with a quantitative range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated recovery was 80–102% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5), and 80–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each of the three sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
