Mouse Proenkephalin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Enkephalin/ENK in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for Enkephalin/ENK is pre-coated onto a microplate, standards and test samples are added, and bound analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Enkephalin/ENK Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

Detection is colorimetric with an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 21.3 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and the kit is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Reported recovery values for undiluted samples average 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5).
