Mouse Polyamine Oxidase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse polyamine oxidase (PAOX/PAO) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where PAOX/PAO is captured by the immobilized antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-PAOX/PAO antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <32 pg/ml, with a product range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and an assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (81-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (80-89%, n=5).
