Mouse Plasminogen Activator, Urokinase ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse uPA (Plasminogen Activator, Urokinase) in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where uPA binds to the immobilized capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-uPA antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of uPA captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <4.1 pg/ml with a product range of 9.38-600 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery ranges are: serum 80%-102%, EDTA plasma 81%-100%, and heparin plasma 80%-89%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
