From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Calcium-Independent Phospholipase A2 (PLA2G6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips); standards and samples are captured by an immobilised antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-PLA2G6 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, and visualised with TMB substrate that is stopped to a yellow product read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quoted performance: standard range 0.312-20 ng/ml, sensitivity <0.09 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery (n=5) averages 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (80%-89%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 was reported as 87-91% to 92-97% for serum (n=5), 90-105% to 79-108% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 84-95% to 89-91% for heparin plasma (n=5).
