Mouse Phospholamban ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Phospholamban in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) over 4 hours 30 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported sensitivity is 0.061 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

In the workflow, a Phospholamban-specific antibody is pre-coated on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Phospholamban Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of stop solution, with yellow intensity proportional to Phospholamban concentration and quantified against the standard curve.

Validation data from the manufacturer report the following averages and ranges: serum, n=5, average 91% (range 80%-102%); EDTA plasma, n=5, average 90% (range 81%-100%); heparin plasma, n=5, average 84% (range 80%-89%). Linearity data at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are also provided across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each).
