Mouse Phenol Sulfotransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse SULT1A1/STP (Phenol Sulfotransferase) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses a colorimetric detection format on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips.

An antibody specific for SULT1A1/STP is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and any SULT1A1/STP present binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SULT1A1/STP Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of SULT1A1/STP captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader by reference to a standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml and a range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
