Mouse Peroxiredoxin 6 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Peroxiredoxin 6 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Peroxiredoxin 6. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Peroxiredoxin 6 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is added for visualisation; catalysis produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Peroxiredoxin 6 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.063 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing showed average recoveries of 91% in serum (n=5; range 80%–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5; 81%–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5; 80%–89%). Linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across all three sample types.
