Mouse Permeability Glycoprotein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Permeability Glycoprotein ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Permeability Glycoprotein in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Permeability Glycoprotein is pre-coated onto a microplate, and standards or test samples are added so that the target binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Permeability Glycoprotein Antibody binds the captured target, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Permeability Glycoprotein captured in each well, measured by absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit offers a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.051 ng/ml, and the assay is completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values are 85–100% (average 92%) in serum, 85–103% (average 94%) in EDTA plasma, and 87–99% (average 93%) in heparin plasma. Detection is performed on a colorimetric microplate reader, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
