Mouse Periostin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Periostin in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Periostin is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate; standards and test samples are added and the bound Periostin is detected using a biotinylated anti-Periostin antibody, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.207 ng/ml with a product range of 0.625-40 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery values (n=5) were 80-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported. The platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
