Mouse Perilipin 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Perilipin 4 (also referred to as KIAA1881). It is intended for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates, serum, EDTA plasma, heparin plasma, and other biological fluids, and results are read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate to which standards and samples are added. A biotinylated anti-KIAA1881 detection antibody is then applied, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to target concentration. The reported sensitivity is <0.055 ng/ml, the working range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Average spike-recovery values from n=5 samples per matrix are given as: serum 91% (range 80–102%), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%), and heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity is also reported for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.
