Mouse Paraoxonase 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse PON2 (Paraoxonase 2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate to which an antibody specific for PON2 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, the plate is washed, and a Biotinylated Anti-PON2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and PON2 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.052 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, the platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and detection is colorimetric. Average recovery values reported in the product documentation are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity has been evaluated across 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
