Mouse Osteoprotegerin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Osteoprotegerin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for mouse samples.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) combined with a biotinylated anti-Osteoprotegerin detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Captured analyte is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and quantified against a standard curve. The assay has a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.054 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes on a colorimetric microplate reader. Validation in mouse serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5) gave recovery ranges of 80-102%, 81-100% and 80-89% with averages of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively, and linearity was demonstrated across sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
