Mouse Osteopontin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Osteopontin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate bearing an antibody specific for Osteopontin. Standards and samples are added to the wells; Osteopontin present in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody and detected using a biotinylated anti-Osteopontin antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a yellow-coloured product whose intensity is proportional to the amount of Osteopontin captured, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, with a stated working range of 39-2500 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <16 pg/ml.

Validation data report average recoveries of 91% in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. The kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse Osteopontin by sandwich ELISA, and components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
