Mouse Osteocalcin ELISA Kit

A 4-hour sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Osteocalcin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. Osteocalcin is also known by the synonyms BGLAP, BGP, Bone Gla protein, and Gamma-carboxyglutamic acid-containing protein. The assay is described as specific for Osteocalcin, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

The product range is 0.391–25 ng/mL, with a stated sensitivity of <0.234 ng/mL. Detection is colorimetric, read at 450 nm with a microplate reader. A pre-coated capture antibody binds Osteocalcin in standards and samples; a biotinylated detection antibody then forms an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich. Following incubation with HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate generates a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance intensity directly proportional to Osteocalcin concentration. Validation included spike-and-recovery (n=10) averaging 94% for serum (range 87–100%), 97% for EDTA plasma (range 91–105%), and 92% for heparin plasma (range 86–99%), plus dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 across these sample types.

The kit is shipped at +4°C. Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
