Mouse Osteocalcin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Osteocalcin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Osteocalcin; standards and test samples are added and Osteocalcin present in each sample is bound by the immobilised antibody.

After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Osteocalcin Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the Osteocalcin concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Detection is colourimetric and quantitative, with an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

The product range is 62.5-4000 pg/ml and sensitivity is <23.58 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) gave averages of 91% (range 80%-102%) for serum, 90% (range 81%-99%) for EDTA plasma and 84% (range 80%-89%) for heparin plasma. Kit components are to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
