Mouse Oncostatin M ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Oncostatin M (OSM) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourimetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. An antibody specific for Oncostatin M/OSM is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Oncostatin M/OSM Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with yellow intensity proportional to the amount of Oncostatin M/OSM captured in each well.

The assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5 per matrix), average recoveries were 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three sample matrices.
