Mouse Neuropilin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Neuropilin 1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Neuropilin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is for Mouse reactivity and uses a colourimetric detection method.

The kit employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Neuropilin 1. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and any Neuropilin 1 present is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Neuropilin 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Following further incubation and washing, a TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction; the blue-coloured product changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Neuropilin 1 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve. The platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

According to the manufacturer's data, the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.065 ng/ml. Reported average recovery values are: Serum 91% (range 80%-102%, n=5), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%-100%, n=5), and Heparin plasma 84% (range 80%-89%, n=5). Linearity upon dilution (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) is shown for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and Heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
