Mouse Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y1 ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this Mouse Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y1 (NPY1R) ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse NPY1R in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for NPY1R pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; after incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NPY1R Antibody binds the captured NPY1R, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of NPY1R is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450 nm against the standard curve.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of <0.108 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate comprising 12 × 8 well strips. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported recovery (n=5) was an average of 91% (range 83–100%) in serum, 96% (range 90–103%) in EDTA plasma, and 95% (range 89–102%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was also evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
