Mouse Neuropeptide Y ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA (sELISA) kit from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Neuropeptide Y in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with Neuropeptide Y captured by an immobilized antibody specific for the target.

Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Neuropeptide Y antibody binds the captured analyte, and HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate then produces a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the intensity of yellow being directly proportional to the Neuropeptide Y concentration in each well.

The kit reports a standard curve range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <4.4 pg/ml. Validation data show recoveries of 80-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix).
