Mouse Neuropeptide S ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Neuropeptide S in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate in which Neuropeptide S present in samples or standards competes with immobilized antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Neuropeptide S antibody. After washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, and TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm; the resulting absorbance is inversely proportional to the Neuropeptide S concentration in each sample.

The standard curve covers a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 3.9 pg/ml, and the assay is completed in approximately 2 hours 30 minutes using a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Reported spike-and-recovery values across five samples per matrix were 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma.
