Mouse Neuropeptide FF ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Neuropeptide FF in urine, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay covers a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.048 ng/ml, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Total assay time is 2 hours 30 minutes, with kit components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The pre-coated plate uses a competitive immunoassay format. Neuropeptide FF in samples or standards competes with the fixed amount of immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Neuropeptide FF antibody, so that higher analyte levels reduce antibody bound to the plate. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added followed by TMB substrate; the resulting yellow product is inversely proportional to Neuropeptide FF concentration, which is then calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, serum recovery ranges 74-107%, EDTA plasma 79-108% and heparin plasma 82-105% (n=5).
