Mouse Neuromedin B ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Neuromedin B in serum, plasma and other biological fluids, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

Neuromedin B in samples or standards competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Neuromedin B antibody. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added and the reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a colour change from blue to yellow upon addition of stop solution. Optical density is inversely proportional to Neuromedin B concentration.

Sensitivity is stated as <4.75 pg/ml, with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a total assay time of approximately 2 h 30 min. Reported average recovery values (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include pre-coated plate strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
