Mouse Nerve Growth Factor ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for NGF, and detection proceeds via a Biotinylated Anti-NGF Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the NGF concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's specification, the assay covers a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 12.4 pg/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported recovery values for spiked samples are 80%-102% in serum (average 91%), 81%-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80%-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%), based on five replicates per matrix. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 is also documented.
