Mouse NADH Dehydrogenase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse MT-ND1 (NADH Dehydrogenase 1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. Reactivity is limited to mouse samples. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit has a stated measuring range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.31 ng/ml. An antibody specific for MT-ND1 is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added, washed, and then incubated with a biotinylated anti-MT-ND1 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to MT-ND1 concentration and is quantified against a standard curve.

Source-reported recovery values (n=5) are 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity ranges are also reported for the same sample types at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the product must not be used past its expiration date.
