Mouse Myosin Heavy Chain 4, Skeletal Muscle ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Myosin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique with a biotinylated anti-Myosin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The reported sensitivity is 7.2 pg/ml and the assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. A standard curve is generated from a serial dilution series of the lyophilised standard, from 1000 pg/ml down to 15.6 pg/ml. The product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.

Recovery and linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Sample collection guidance includes clotting and centrifugation for serum, EDTA or heparin anticoagulation for plasma, and homogenisation of tissue in PBS (1 g tissue / 9 ml PBS). The Stop Solution is an acid and should be handled with appropriate protective equipment; TMB Substrate is light-sensitive.
