Mouse Myogenin ELISA Kit

An Antibodies.com sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Myogenin in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Myogenin. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and bound Myogenin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Myogenin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The concentration of Myogenin is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit has an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.108 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. In spike-and-recovery testing, average recoveries across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5) were 91%, 90%, and 84% respectively, with observed ranges of 80–102%, 81–100%, and 80–89%. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions showed recoveries spanning 74–108% across the same sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated and should not be used past the expiration date.
