Mouse Myeloperoxidase ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Myeloperoxidase in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse MPO is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody specific for MPO; MPO present in the well is bound by the immobilized antibody and the detection antibody. After removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. A substrate solution then reacts with HRP, and color develops in proportion to the amount of MPO bound by the immobilized antibody. The color development is stopped by addition of acid, and the optical density is measured by a microplate reader.

The assay range is 62.50 - 4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 4.40 pg/ml, and average recovery from serum samples is 99%. The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant mouse MPO. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform. Components are stored at +4°C, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
