Mouse Mucin 5 Subtype AC ELISA Kit

From the Antibodies.com catalogue, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Mucin 5AC in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The procedure uses an antibody specific for Mucin 5AC pre-coated onto a microplate, with captured analyte bound by a Biotinylated Anti-Mucin 5AC Antibody and visualised via an HRP-Avidin / TMB substrate reaction.

Detection is colourimetric, read as optical density at 450 nm on a microplate reader. The kit reports a product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.137 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips. Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as specified in the supplied instructions.

Spike-and-recovery validation is provided for serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–101%, average 91%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%). Parallel dilution-linearity testing in the same three matrices at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also documented, with reported recoveries spanning 74–108% across the conditions tested.
