Mouse Mothers Against Decapentaplegic Homolog 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Smad3 (Mothers Against Decapentaplegic Homolog 3) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format: standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-Smad3 antibody, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Smad3 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin, and visualised with TMB substrate. The colour reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with Smad3 levels calculated against a standard curve.

The quantitative assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.136 ng/ml, and a typical run time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values across serum (n=5: 84%-99%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5: 82%-103%, average 92%) and heparin plasma (n=5: 84%-102%, average 93%) samples support use across common biological matrices. Kit components include lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers; components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
