Mouse Midline 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Midline 1 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Midline 1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and Midline 1 present in each sample is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Midline 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the Midline 1 concentration is calculated from the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Reported manufacturer performance figures include a sensitivity of 0.052 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Average spiked recoveries are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips.
