Mouse Mercaptopyruvate Sulfurtransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Mercaptopyruvate Sulfurtransferase (MST) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay is supplied on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for MST immobilised on the wells. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-MST antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the MST concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. The detection range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery testing (n=5) gave an average of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
