From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative determination of mouse CD146 (Melanoma Cell Adhesion Molecule) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection via a biotinylated anti-CD146 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

The quantitative standard curve spans 0.625-40 ng/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <0.234 ng/ml. Average recovery (n=5) is 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%).
