Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate using a biotinylated anti-MMP9 antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate, with signal developed using TMB substrate. The colourmetric reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with MMP9 concentration calculated against a standard curve.

The quantitative measurement range is 0.156–10 ng/ml and the reported sensitivity is <0.069 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 m. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery was assessed on n=5 samples per matrix, with average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, yielding ranges of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma.
