Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 8 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 8 (MMP8) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for MMP8 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells; MMP8 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-MMP8 detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and MMP8 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported performance: assay range 0.312–20 ng/ml, sensitivity of 0.138 ng/ml, and a run time of approximately 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery ranges across n=5 samples were 80–102% in serum (average 91%), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
