Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 7 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 7 (MMP7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids [S1]. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for MMP7 immobilised on the plate. Captured MMP7 is detected using a biotinylated anti-MMP7 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, and the signal is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to MMP7 concentration, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader [S1].

The standard curve covers a product range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 26.5 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes [S1]. Sample recovery was validated in serum (n=5, range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80-89%, average 84%) [S1]. Linearity upon dilution at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma [S1]. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date [S1].
