Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate bearing an antibody specific for MMP3. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and bound MMP3 is detected sequentially with a Biotinylated Anti-MMP3 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate visualises the reaction, yielding a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to MMP3 concentration; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referenced to a standard curve.

The assay covers a quantitative range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.148 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and the colourmetric read-out is performed on a standard microplate reader. Reagent components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit is not to be used past its expiration date.
