Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 12 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 12 (MMP12) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where MMP12 is captured by the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-MMP12 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After washing, TMB substrate is added; the enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of MMP12 is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <6.5 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.
