From Antibodies.com, this Mouse Maternal Embryonic Leucine Zipper Kinase (MELK) ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse MELK in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses a pre-coated microplate format on which an antibody specific for MELK has been immobilised to capture the target from standards and test samples.

Detection is achieved with a Biotinylated Anti-MELK Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and compared with a standard curve. The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Recovery has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial sample dilutions, and kit components are stored between +4 °C and –20 °C as instructed.
